Hey! Nice to meet you.
Hey! I’m Jake. I’m a data nerd…or as we’re called in the biz, a data scientist.
Although I originally studied to be a chemical engineer, I’ve always had a passion for computer science (I minored in C.S. in undergrad) and this led to me working as a tech consultant in NYC for the past few years. In those few years, I’ve become absolutely enamored with the field of data science and love doing in-depth data analysis and creating informative data visualizations.
I mainly work with Python (pandas is bae) and SQL for my data analysis and wrangling, but am comfortable with various languages and packages. If you’re interested to see some of the code I’ve written, feel free to check out my github which has multiple repos I’ve made over the years, ranging from webscrapers and intagram bots to jupyter notebooks that pull, manipulate, and visualize financial data using various python packages.
This website is meant to be a portfolio of all of my side projects and some of my work and school projects. It’ll also have a bunch of my notes about data science, business, and life in general.
I’m always open to messages. I’m open to mentor, or be mentored. I’m interested in collaborations, freelance work, startups, and whatever else you have in mind.
You can email me or find me on LinkedIn. Also, if you enjoy cute dogs, just click that Instagram link on the left. And yes, I made an instagram for my dogs 🐶. They’re cute and deserve to be famous. I don’t care if it’s basic 😎.
Below you’ll find some more info on me.
